SPEAKER BIO

Bhekumusa Zikhali

Mr BN Zikhali is a BCom Economics and a PG Dip in Financial Planning Law graduate from the University of the Free State. Currently pursuing his Honours degree in Business and Financial Data Analytics, with a knack for internationalisation and initiating new programmes at institutions.

He is a results-oriented international and intercultural project leader with four + years of experience and a zest for integrating students in higher education. Mr Zikhali is professional, diplomatic, personable, and adept at managing sensitive situations, as well as highly organised, self-motivated, and an independent worker who also works well in teams, with proven student life and project management skills to improve the quality of students’ experiences at the University of the Free State. Under the supervision and guidance of Mrs Bulelwa Moikwatlhai, he has developed, coordinated, implemented, promoted, and organised intersectional programmes, including the International Cultural Diversity Festival, Africa Day, Heritage Day, and national independence days relevant to the different members of the university community. The development, coordination, implementation, promotion, organisation, and management of new projects/ideas is one of his strongest points, especially projects that speak to internationalisation at home and promoting institutional strategy.

 

Mr Zikhali is currently a Research in the portfolio Internationalisation at Home within the Office for International Affairs at the University of the Free State, and the pioneer in developing the project: Intercultural and Skills Exchange (ISE) programme.
