She has a keen interest in internationalisation of the curriculum and has gained expertise in International Virtual Engagement, specifically in Collaborative Online International Learning as a approach to inclusive internationalisation. She also holds a PhD in Higher Education Studies from the  University of Western Cape, with a focus on global structural dynamics of academic cross border collaboration.
