Fazela HANIFF immigrated to Canada in 1974 from Guyana, lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for three years, then relocated to South Africa from 1994 to 2012 and returned to Canada in 2012. Her heading up the Urban Alliance on Race Relations, Toronto, in 1990 afforded Fazela the skills and insight to champion Diversity and Inclusion throughout her career when such issues were tabu.
