Dr. Kari Knutson Miller is Dean of Professional and Global Education, Senior International Officer, and Professor of Psychology at California State University, Stanislaus. Her portfolio includes International Education and Global Engagement (IEGE) and Continuing and Professional Education (CaPE) units. Signature academic programs at Stan State include those focused on Education, Health, and Wellness.
Current collaborations in Africa are aligned with faculty expertise and scholarship in disciplines including Social Work, Agriculture, and Ethnic Studies. Of particular interest to the region served by Stan State are circular bioeconomy, pedagogy of innovation (FabLabs, makerspace), and teacher education/professional development initiatives.
Dr. Knutson Miller is a member of NAFSA, EAIE, and serves on the CONAHEC Advisory Board. Her scholarship emphasizes outcomes associated with immersive learning experiences including study abroad and international internships.
