SPEAKER BIO

Taurai Hungwe

Taurai Hungwe received a PhD degree in science from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU), Pretoria, South Africa. Has also received a certificate in education (Science) and Bachelor of Science honours in Computer Science with Education from University of Zimbabwe, Master of Education (ICT) from University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and a Masters in Information Technology (ICT Management) from University of Pretoria, South Africa and a number of certifications and badges.

He is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at SMU. He has more than 20 ten years of experience in academic teaching and research in Zimbabwe and South Africa. He is a member of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), DIgiFORS Research Groups, at University of Pretoria. His research interests include cybersecurity, information security and digital forensics in the Cloud and databases, artificial intelligence, curriculum, teaching and learning and entrepreneurship. He also serves as a reviewer for International Journal of Learning, Teaching and Educational Research (IJLTER) and for Zimbabwe Conference of Information Communication Technology (ZCICT). He has published a number of interdisciplinary articles on digital forensics, computer science curriculum, industrial specific training, translanguaging, SMME, long term research data archiving and published two books.
